Our Space

Rustic luxury with all the amenities you need

Hillside Old Stables has a kitchenette on the ground floor, providing all that you might need for your short stay. The second floor has been recently renovated to include a living area, remote working area, shower room and WC facilities. From this floor there is a second stair case which leads to a mezzanine bed deck, boasting a fantastic Vispring king-sized bed with comfortable and hypoallergenic bedding. A sofa bed will also be in situ on the first floor from mid-March 2021. A travel cot may be available, subject to discussion over availability, costs etc. A basket of children's toys and books can also be provided on request, as can a highchair, nappy bin etc.

It is really important to us that you enjoy your stay, so we will usually try and accommodate most reasonable requests. So if there is something you need for or during your stay, please do let us know and we will always try our best to help.

Local Neighbourhood

Where we are and what is nearby?

The old Stables is by a main road and is only a few minutes’ walk downhill to the endearing small village of Westbury-on -Trym, with its shops, takeaways, restaurants and pubs catering for all tastes. Westbury Hill is also on the cusp of Durdham Downs, with plenty of space to run or explore.

There is easy access from Hillside Old Stables to bus routes and arterial roads serving the nearby commercial Bristol City Centre, as well as the large American style Mall and retail park at Cribbs Causeway. We are also close to motorway networks M4 and M5, Southmead Hospital, BRI Hospital and local businesses such as Airbus.

You may, of course, prefer just to tuck up in the stables with a good book, or to use the outdoor furniture in our orchard garden, which captures the afternoon and evening sun. A lovely spot for a cuppa or glass of wine to end the day.
